I have not been seeing brave ads since late last year sometime, roughly Q3 - 2021. I am talking about on my laptop, desktop browser. I was able to chat with Chris_cat I think his username was in Reddit r/brave_browser and he hadme go into Brave settings and use the Beta settings to force some notifications. Worked for about a few weeks, but then stopped and I just haven’t had time to try and chase this down. Now I do.
So I think I it’s possible that I am not getting notifications from my OS. OR it is something that I did when I was using the VPN and maybe I have not completely turned off that program? Maybe I need to uninstall it? )Proton VPN.
What date did you verify your wallet? Damn, had to be 2019 or so…
Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past? I have for 2.5 years or so… until Q3 - 2021.
Are you using a VPN? (yes/no) I did use a VPN in Q3-2021 and I think that is about the time that I stopped getting ads. I no longer use that VPN. It was the Proton VPN.
I found two - and one of them is from Nov 21 where Mattches helped someone with Win 7. And that was basically about the same time that I started having my issue…maybe in Oct. but my first payout that was zero was Nov 5th.
I saw this. Often come across reference to this json file when people have probs with ads but as I say, no tech so no idea if this works - but it has 10 likes!
It worked before last year and Mattches and the others knew about it. Untill now they changed some setting so i am not sure if it work anymore, just give it a try and don’t forget to save your previous files.
That is correct, zero ads. Not since I chatted wtih Chris_cat late last year. I was also waiting to see if you replied before I attempt this json file delete. Because I am Win-7 I am not sure it if applies to me.
