Description of the issue:
After running Brave and subsequently shutting it down it will not relaunch. Bringing up the Task Manager’s Processes tab shows there are at least 8 abandoned Brave processes. Once I manually kill these abandoned processes Brave will once again launch. This issue occurs intermittently. I have not yet determined what action(s) seem to cause it however I have found that this issue persists whether or not Shields is enabled. Also, the problem persists when no extensions are enabled.
A previously posted and subsequently closed problem posted back in May 2019 appears to be very close to the same issue so either it has not yet been addressed or whatever bug fix was implemented is no longer working.
