Description of the issue:
When closing a window of Brave (red cross), Brave unexpectedly quits (crashes). This results in all windows of Brave closing, and upon restarting, it shows a message: “Brave did not shut down correctly.”
**Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): **
Open Brave
Click on the red cross (left top) to close a window
Brave crashes

Expected result:
Brave should close just the window I want to close, instead of shutting down (crashing).
Reproduces how often: Every time.

## Description
Activating the flag #global-media-controls-cast-start-stop shows the media controller on the address bar (near the menu icon) upper right.
Clicking it while reproducing a video cause Brave Browser to force close.
## Steps to Reproduce
1. Go to brave://flags
2. Activate #global-media-controls-cast-start-stop and set to Enable
3. Reproduce a video/music (ex: Youtube Video)
4. Click on the Media Controller button upper right in the address bar

## Actual result:
Brave crash and force close after clicking the button
## Expected result:

Global Media controls opens without problems (Microsoft Edge Example)

Always when the icon is clicked

FYI, the setting was already set to Default.

I don’t know what Yabai is, so I doubt it.
Could you check whether the issue will appear in a fresh user profile?

For those impacted by performance and/or memory issues, here are a couple steps to take which will help us in helping you.
As many here have stated, it’s good to disable extensions. Extensions are third-party applications; it’s entirely possible an extension could eat up tons of memory. By removing them from the equation, we greatly simplify the task of identifying the problem itself.
Create a Testing Profile
Testing with a private window is good, but this usually leave…
The issue does not appear with a fresh user profile.
How could I determine the cause with my existing profile?
If you happen to use any extensions, disable them and slowly enable them one by one until you find the one causing those crashes.
I found the extension that caused the crash. Thank you. The problem is now solved.
