Android Uphold Wallets Launch and Introducing Minimum BAT Thresholds

@creator22,
We have increased the cap to 4 instances, since you can now verify your wallet via Android devices. That said, it’s still not possible to de-link instances from your Uphold account.

Depends what device you are using for Apple go to the store and if Android use Google Play.

@Mattches - just one note, i already had 4 linked devices, receiving rewards from first 3 linked…limit was increased to 4 but I did not received rewards from 4th linked device but from 5th linked device (android)…is there any update on de-link option from uphold, or any workaround how to remove unwanted device (in my case eg nightly version)?

@creator22,
There is no way to “de-link” a Brave instance from your Uphold account at this time.

Also, you can have up to four different browser instances, not devices. So if I have Brave stable, Beta, Developer, and Nightly builds on my PC linked to my Uphold account and Brave installed and linked on my Android device – that’s all four right there, but only two devices.

Question.

What happens if you link four instances and have a BAT balance. How to retrieve it from the 5th instance?

@ewash2k,
You don’t. That BAT will stay in your wallet and will (as it should) be used to support Brave verified content creators on the web.

Cool.

Thanks for the info.

@Mattches - you are right, I meant instances (or better to say unique brave wallets), as I mentioned above, as was wallet verification function released one by one in nightly, dev, beta…I linked those installations to test that (nobody mentioned at that time that there is some limitation planned), so now i have 4 linked instances (nightly, dev, beta and live) but receiving rewards only from first 3 :slight_smile:
Anyhow, im still wondering why I received rewards from 5th linked instance (android) and not from 4th linked instance (after the limit was increased to 4)

@creator22,
That’s a great question. Are you certain that all four browser instances you installed (before mobile) are verified? Each browser should state that the wallet is verified in the Rewards panel:

@Mattches - yeah, all 4 were already linked and verified with uphold…anyhow, there is some mess in those accounts as I described in Brave rewards sent to wrong uphold cards
Not sure, if that can be related

Can I connect my uphold account to my phone which is already connected to desktop? I want to have connected phone and desktop to one uphold account, is this possible?

Also, just want to make sure the 25 BAT is just a one time requirement to verify the wallet? or Is it necessary to have 25 BATs to receive on uphold account per month?

Since, I liked my mobile browser to the uphold wallet BAT got added but later on, I was stopped getting ads in my android device.

Idk the reason, please let me know why its happening only to me for all users…

Sure, You can sync your brave browser in what ever device you use. You should activate the sync flag for this under the section Enable flag for

Enable brave Sync

later on you can follow the documentation about the syncing process.

en mi android me sale que tengo 0 bat pero en configuraciones me sale que tengo 4.6 bat como recompenza pendiente
y no puedo activar la billetara como hago?

Will BAT rewards AUTOMATICALLY credited in Uphold Account after verifying wallet? I’m already past my payment date and it is not credited? Why is that so?

if your wallet was verified before the 1st of Aug 2020, then it will automatically credited to your uphold account. If not, you may expect it will be done under the Sep payout.

Thank you so much for the information! I really hope that Brave Team will create an article about the timeframes for crediting of our BAT Rewards so that confusion about payment will be resolved once and for all.

I already have my verified Uphold wallet, synced across two PCs (roughly 75 BAT) and I was hoping to add and verify my mobile devices too but I was unable to because they are below the 25 BAT minimum.

If I was able to bypass this minimum they would have joined up with a wallet with sufficient funds; I find this a rather annoying solution to your problem.

Is there a way around this? I would even top them up with 25 BAT manually if it is allowed!

Aye, I can second that – I already have an account at Uphold connected to my desktop and would like to simply link my Android mobile & tablet to that same account.

It makes sense that creating a new account at Uphold requires a minimum amount of BATs but just linking another device to an existing one shouldn’t be that hard in my humble opinion.

What if I have to replace my Desktop or Smartphone?
The screen on my Huawei P20 Pro is f***ed…all the way to the point that it’s not possible to sync anything or connect to the computer for syncing, because I can’t turn on/off the HDB function or do anything on the phone… The screen is all the way blacked out!, and a new one costs about 350 euros… So, I bought a new P30 lite and got the full security upload package downloaded and installed from Google, so the phone is basically the same as the P20… BUT!!,… How do I get the about 8-10 BAT on the Brave on the P20 to show up on my P30?? … Because they did not follow in the installation package I installed from Google… And the security upload was just 3 days old when the screen blacked out, so it was not an old security upload package…

@steeven or @Mattches CAN YOU PLEASE Help me get my s**t synced!??? :sunglasses::sunglasses::flushed::flushed::flushed::grin::pray::pray:
