All Brave settings gone after restart

Description of the issue:
Have been using Brave for over a year or two. I have been heavily dependant on Brave for remembering my passwords, auto-completing some of my history, etc. But yesterday I went to sleep and shut down my laptop, today I open Brave and I was presented with the tutorial screen and everything was gone except for my bookmarks and extensions. I then go onto my phone to try and sync with the Sync chain and when I open the sync page, it kicked me off, I went back and it only have option to start a new chain or connect to one.

So essentially, the only things I kept is the following:

  • Bookmarks
  • Extensions
  • My last tabs

I got logged out of everything.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
I accidentally restarted, then after the restart I didn’t log in, but shut down instead (on the password screen) and turned it on the next morning.

Only once so far

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Version 1.38.119 Chromium: 101.0.4951.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Type of devices currently running on the Sync chain in question:
2x Windows 10 Laptop, 1x iPhone 7, 1x iPad 6th Gen

Additional Information:
I lost all of my passwords, now onto me trying to reset all of my passwords. Unless of course there is a solution I am unaware of.

Hi sorry to hear that you are having problems, we’d like to try to get to the bottom of it. A couple of follow up questions:

  1. Do you have multiple profiles on your Windows devices?
  2. Can you confirm the Brave versions of your iOS devices as well?
