Ads display on older versions

Description of the issue:
When a newer version of Brave is available, browsing in a private window will show ads, no matter the website.
If the latest version of Brave is installed, no ads are displayed. This happens every time a Brave update is available on Google store.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Install Brave, wait for a new version on Google Play and browse with a private window.

Expected result:
Ads will be displayed even if in the previous days they did not.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
At the moment, 1.3.2, Chromium 76.0.3809.132.
It happens with older versions.

Hi there. Welcome to Community! Is this regarding Brave Ads (our ad program) or 3rd-party ads (such as Google/Facebook)?

3rd-party ads, like Amazon and stuff.
Ads suddenly bengin to appear, no matter the page you are brosing.
With normal navigation (so no private browsing) it does not happen.

I would double check your Shields settings. They’re saved separately in Private mode.

Thanks, I will check the settings, but this does not explain how ads show up at once.
