Maybe you need to disable extensions.
I have no extensions and it worked for me.
Maybe you need to disable extensions.
I have no extensions and it worked for me.
For now, just right-click on the video you want to watch and open it in a private tab. The ad blocker warning doesnāt seem to apply if you arenāt logged in.
Im done! I JUST WANT TO GET RID OF THE AD BLOCKER NOW. any ideas?
Please I need to get on youtube. this is not worth it.
how does one disable extensions?
Try the steps first.
It may or may not work for you.
If it does not work, you may have to disable brave extensions like Enhancer for youtube. Check any extension settings to see if you have any adblocking enabled. Disable them.
Thanks bro, worked for me too
Worked for me also and I even skipped step #5. Thanks!
ok any idea when that might be?
thank you! will try again.
None of it is working for me. What IS working for me atm is Firefox with Ublock Origins Lite, so for now Iām going back to that until Brave finds a fix.
Welp, that seems to have worked. Thanks.
Since you closed my topic so I canāt reply, Iāll inform you that I did search for topics. None of these referenced the current issue with the latest (last nightās) build, which Iām running.
Works perfectly, thanks sockie
@IHiJump this entire topic is about yours. That you are seeing Ad blockers violate YouTubeās Terms of Serviceā warning.
Or that ads arenāt being blocked. And even in your rushing over here to comment, you didnāt say anything about trying what was instructed.
Its true, since this morning, Ad block not working anymore for Youtube on brave, tried updating the Brave app. Still . Hoping for a creative solution from Brave here
@abdulmalick did you try as has been said by many in here to resolve the issue?
The latest one I saw was from March. Iām guessing my search wasnāt thorough enough.
Yeah, generally good to drop to last comments or kind of skim through things.
Just so you know, this will happen every once in a while. YouTube tries to bypass. When it happens, all the people who manage content filters get together and make adjustments.
A lot of times itās just YouTube injecting a random cookie. Once cleared, itās fine. But of course keeping components updated and being mindful of extensions we use also can matter. Especially as some extensions like Enhancer for YouTube have adblock capabilities that can trigger YouTubeās adblock detection.
NOTE
Also keep in mind that a lot of people never pay any attention. For example, two almost identical posts on the brave_browser Reddit:
And those are in spite of the topic I created before them:
And there are TONS of others like it. People flock to things to complain but never take the time to see what other people have to say. Itās amazing.
I had the same problem, after checking brave:://components, deleting cookies and history (4 weeks history). The real fix seemed to be logging back into my YouTube account (since I was logged out after deleting cookies and history)
TLDR: sign out of your YouTube account then sign back in.
