Then refresh Youtube.com tabs (important). Let me know if it helps

It worked. I like Brave for its speed and also plays vids in 1080 and even 1440 something when Chrome was only doing 720.

Im so lame I cant even figure out how to log out of YOUTUBE! LOL
lol. Honestly, youāll get logged out when you clear cookies so it may not matter but doing it first and kind of leaving makes sure youāre not accidentally triggering again. But click on your profile picture or whatever in the corner to pull up the option to log out. Such as:

Youtube may also be somehow factoring in the Brave agent string into their adblock detection.
If I change my agent to firefox (windows) using the developer tools (network tab, āmore network conditionsā button) then it also works around the issue.

Thatās it, the update 1.0.9653 solved the problem. Wasnāt my cookies or extensions as I suspected.
Dunno why Youtube is so set on making me watch ads. First ruleā¦ if I see an advertisement for something, Iāll never buy it.
