I was playing youtube videos all the time on brave browser , now it says it will not play them because of an ad blocker. I didn’t change anything, what happened?

Yeah same here “Ad blockers violate YouTube’s Terms of Service” hope they find a workaround asap.

Same here, it worked all day long, came back after taking my shower and it’s not working anymore

Just type this in brave://settings/content/all and delete everything and close and restart should work

This is a known issue. Note that it is not specific to Brave — other users with adblock extensions like uBlock Origin are also encountering this issue.
As usual it’s important to remember that this is/will be an ongoing battle between Youtube and ad blockers, so this issue will come back every now and then when they find a way to work around our Shields/ad block protections.
Our web compat. folks are working on this issue presently and we hope to have a solution soon.

Does this also happen with a PiHole active on client networks? Just asking because I am about to try setting up my own.
Just turn Shield off and then back on, YouTube algo gives up after a couple of times it tries
I’ve run into this a couple times - did nothing about it. Reloading fixed the problem. Seems they’re not completely serious about it.
