Brave’s built-in Ad-blocker does not work on Youtube.

Can you please go to brave://components and ensure that the Brave Ad Block Updater component is fully up to date? Latest version should be v1.0.9054.
Having the same issue on youtube. I checked and components are up to date.

I have newer version 1.0.9066 and I still see the thumbnail of the ads (just like in the ss above). Also, I would like to point out that video starts playing after waiting for like 10-20 seconds. During this time the Ads video is not played but the text does appear.

@Euphemism8917 can you update the component one more time to the (now) latest Version: 1.0.9073 and confirm that it’s still occurring?
If it does, can you please try creating a fresh profile (Menu --> Add profile) and test streaming youtube in that profile and tell me if ads appear there as well?
I am always one version ahead of you. This time I updated it to 1.0.9110 and created new profile to test Youtube. Ads don’t load anymore but the video plays after few seconds and the only thing I see along with loader is Ads title.
Slight improvement but still perfect.

I’m wondering if you can try disabling your extensions then testing the behavior to see if there is some conflict there.
If there is not, can you simply try clearing cache/site data for youtube and then testing again to see if the ads continue to appear?

what kind of extension are you talking about? I don’t use a second ad-blocker.
Cleared cache and updated Brave components and then opened Youtube. Banner Ads are back on Youtube video 
Btw, in Firefox I use uBlock Origin with ublock and easylist privacy filters. I don’t see any ads on Youtube and videos load quickly.
We’re using the exact same rule as uBO, implemented the same way. Which type of ad is it?
Right click on the ads => "Stats for nerds" => check "Mystery text" => "SSAP" for SSAP ads, "SABR" for usual ads
How can I update this on Android? brave://components does not load.
