Use this category to report or troubleshoot issues that occur when navigating to (or inside) a specific website using Brave.

Issues with Web Compatibility are generally universal in that they’re not specific to any Operating System but are instead indicative of a complication between Brave and the offending sites themselves. Given this, notifying the team about these issues can potentially help improve Brave on a larger scale since more than one website (or user) may benefit from resolving the issue. We appreciate anyone willing to bring Web Compatibility issues to our attention.

When doing so, please tell us:

  1. Did the issue present with default Shields settings?
    (Default states are:
    Block: Ads/Trackers, 3rd Party Cookies, 3rd Party Fingerprinting
    Allow: Encrypt Connections enabled (HTTPS), Scripts
  2. Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off?
  3. Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration
  4. Does the site function as expected when using other web browsers?
  5. What Brave version/Build are you using when you encounter the issue?
