A new Tab opens for no reason with an specific web page

Every time that I click on any link a specific page from amazon opens up on a different tab, and it keeps doing this even after deleting cache and cookies

windows 10 pro and I´m using brave V1.29.77

Okay. I would like you to check if this issue is related to your current user profile in some way. For that, you’ll have to create a test user profile and check if the issue is present. Please, make sure only the test user profile is active during your test - close all windows of your current user profile.

It seems that the test profile works fine

All right. Go back to your old user profile and do the following:

  1. Disable all extensions via brave://extensions/.
  2. Open brave://settings/clearBrowserData.
  3. Click on Advanced.
  4. Change Time range → All time.
  5. Select Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files, Site and Shields Settings.
  6. Click on Clear data.

Thanks, I already clear the cache and cookies, however, I did try the extensions and I found an old amazon extension that I did not remember was there. It was a whish list extension, I deleted it and the browser started to wor properly
