1password extension no longer works in Brave 0.57

Description of the issue: 1password extension cant find the app

Try to open 1password extension, it just takes you to 1passwords site and asks you to log in

I have a STANDALONE version of 1password and so am not signed up to the 1password membership, hence the login web page feature is not something i can access

Expected result: In previous versions of brave the built in 1password extension worked fine

Reproduces how often: EVERY time

Brave Version(about:brave): 0.57

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no): Yes

@hardtofin, is it 1p v6 or 7?

Sorry im just coming back to this cos i realised i missed it.

it’s 1 password 6. I dont want to use 1p7 as its ugly and not as functional. Im on Mojave 10.14.2

This is because 1pv6 is no longer supported on chromium platforms. See this (closed) issue for more information:

Damn, that’s a deal breaker for me. I will have to use another browser. Thanks for your swift help though.

Unfortunately that’s not a workaround. That’s paying $65 for a piece of software i don’t want. :frowning:

Same with you, now I just change to Opera, 1 password works well. Brave will be not my option now.
