I’m trying to watch Mad Max on YouTube but can’t because of a video format problem. I searched and found the following posts:
- Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available. Click here to visit our frequently asked questions about HTML5 video
- Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available
- YouTube not working with Brave or any other ad blocker now
- https:// community. brave .com/t/youtube-html5-issue/112846 (I can’t put anymore links in my post)
None of the posts seem to have a solution and more importantly, none of the posts seem to provide a useful troubleshooting methodology. I started using Brave after watching The Social Dilemma and I’m more concerned about Google’s reach but I still want to be able to use my web browser to watch YouTube videos. I’m happy to investigate this issue more and would appreciate guidance.
The following show details about my system:

This is a link to the video I’m watching (although you may need to rent it):
This is a screenshot of the problem:
The text of the error message is:

Which sadly claims that my browser is up-to-date even though it’s clearly not working.
How should I troubleshoot my video format problem?
