Description of the issue:
After stopping a Youtube video and subsequently either exiting the browser or changing to a new tab, the video that has just been stopped restarts by itself and plays in the background. The only way to stop it that I have found is to open the notification center (swiping from above) and then tap on the pause icon in the now playing widget. This is different from the video that has not been stopped by the user continuing to play in the background, this being in fact a welcome feature.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
- Open Brave on an iPhone or an iPad.
- Navigate to www.youtube.com and start playing any video.
- Stop the video (tap on the video’s Pause button).
- Exit Brave by swiping up from the bottom of the screen or switch to another existing tab or hit the + sign to add a new tab.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
The video will restart on its own (you will hear the sound even though you are no longer on the Youtube page).
Expected result:
The video should not restart.
Reproduces how often:
Always when following the steps described above in Steps to Reproduce
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave
page in the main menu):
iOS/iPadOS 15.6.1, Brave version 1.41.1 (22.7.27.20)
