Description of the issue:

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Start a YouTube video (happens on other websites too)
  2. Pause the YouTube video
  3. Go away from that tab, either switch to another tab, open a new tab, go to Home Screen, or turn device off
  4. Video will start playing in background, causing audio to be heard and your spot in the video is lost.

Expected result:

Video will stay paused

Additional Information:

It is really annoying, the only way to solve this is to either close the page when stopping a YouTube video, or pausing it after switching using the system wide media controls.

I see this has been happening to many people including me, hopefully it gets fixed in the next update

Fix is coming sorry.
As a workaround you have to disable background play in settings and maybe use our playlist feature for the background play.
The fix should go live in 10 days or so
