YouTube tab keeps playing despite it is being closed

Description of the issue:

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. play YouTube video
  2. close YouTube tab without stopping video
  3. YouTube audio is still playing

Expected result:

Closed tabs should not play audio/video from a closed tab source

Brave Version:

Version 1.35.1 (22.2.10.16)

iPad, iOS 15.3.1

It happens from time to time, not always

I also have this problem and when it occurs I know of no other way to stop the playback other than a force quit of the app.
