Youtube Page is broken at iOS at iPad - Customization Not Possible

how do you turn off the desktop site ? When you turn off the desktop site, Do you face heavy AD ?

Go to settings and toggle off the always request desktop site, and no no change to ads.

This is of course the iOS/iPadOS version that is being discussed.

One problem though All videos now 720p Max Possible - With Desktop mode there is 1080p max resolution available.
With Mobile version the home screen endless / long scrolling possible - earlier it was 6 rows of video in landscape mode.

i think one of the main issue that not all option exist in every platform which make switching from ios/android/desktop not smoose

hope they go for that one and things will get better

have a nice day everyone

True, but after going to your settings and such in YouTube, you can switch back to desktop to view, it’s more of a work around than a solution and also highlighting to the developers what’s working and what’s not. (Be great to hear firm them that they acknowledge the issue)

It’s iOS. There are no extensions!

Yup, but these devs don’t seem to give a shiit or something for the iOS/ iPad when there are also many users on that platform. The patches release didn’t address the previous issues highlighted.

We can’t clear individual links (e.g. goggle.com) from the address bar and tabs occasionally freeze when switching away from them. It’s super frustrating to say the least.

it do not know is it issue from brave or chrome (the core is based on chrome) or apple
until recent it was not allowed to change default browser in apple and that was on apple side

i am not trying to say who responsible for the issue here but i am trying to see the whole picture

but i agree that work should be done

Yes it is possible to unlimited scrolling by Turing Off the “Always Request Desktop Site” option but when user find the desire video and click back and enable the Desktop Site option the page reloaded and lost the video as it stays below the 6 -7 row limitation, Now if the user open the desired video in a new tab then video is there but once enable the Desktop Site option again the page also reload but the video stuck to 720p (it seems the video resolution did’t reload) as this is the max resolution supported for the Mobile View. Wish the 720p max resolution for mobile view not there - it will be great then.
