Youtube page blank when shields are activated

Description of the issue:
Youtube is blank when shields are activated, you can see the screenshot below. I only have Ublock Origin extension which I disabled for Youtube, but it didn’t help. I also updated all components multiple times and my Brave version is latest.
OS is Ubuntu 22.04.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Enable Brave shields on youtube and open youtube.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Expected result:
Youtube should be fully functional without ads

Reproduces how often:
Always

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Version 1.71.118 Chromium: 130.0.6723.70 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Ubuntu 22.04

Additional Information:
Only way to use youtube is to disable shields and enable Ublock origin

This is still a problem, even after I received an update for Brave.
I switched to Firefox until this is resolved, no problems there.

Is it possible, there is a bit of conflict between uBlock Origin and Brave Browser’s built-in Ad Blocker?

No, because I tried by disabling all plugins.
This is what happens:

  • no ublock origin, and no shields - everything works but I get ads
  • no ublock origin, and shields are on - nothing works (on youtube only)
  • ublock origin on and shields are on - nothing works
  • ublock origin on and sheidls are off - everything works but ads sometimes show up

Some stuff that might help or give you a direction . . .

Not using any extensions other than what Brave Brower includes - for test purposes:

At:brave://settings/content/javascript

You might add (allow):

  • [*.]gstatic.com:443
  • [*.]google.com:443
  • [*.]youtube.com:443

Then, Brave Shields UP. Try YouTube.com again.

My effort to clear cache and cookies:

In a Brave Browser > New Window, go to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData

For tab On exit - set:

  • Enable: Browsing history
  • Enable: Download history
  • Enable: Cookies and other site data (Signs you out of most sites)
  • Enable: Cached images and files
  • Disable: Passwords and other sign-in data (When Enabled DELETES PASSWORDS)
  • Disable: Autofill form data
  • Disable: Site and Shields Settings
  • Enable: Hosted app data

Click on the “Save” button.

Return to: brave://settings/clearBrowserData

For tab Basic - set:

  • Time range:All time
  • Enable: Browsing history
  • Enable: Cookies and other site data (Signs you out of most sites)
  • Enable: Cached images and files

Click on the “Clear data” button.

(The “Clear data” button also saves the selections.)

I have found, that running Brave Browser (“BB”) and any other Chromium browser (MSFT Edge) at the same time, causes some sluggish behavior for BB. I am guessing, that they might share something on MacOS - unsure re Windows OS / Linux OS.
