Description of the issue:
With AMD freesync enabled youtube videos drop frames in full screen mode. Other Chromium based browsers such as Microsoft EDGE and Chrome do not have this problem.
Steps to reproduce
- Enable AMD freesync when connected to a freesync compatible monitor
- Open a video from youtube.com
- Right click on video and select “Stats for Nerds”
- Enter full screen mode on the video.
- Observe number of dropped frames, number continues to increase during playback
To stop dropping frames disable AMD freesync, and repeat steps 2-5 above, frames stop dropping.
Hardware acceleration is enabled in brave settings and works well when freesync is disabled through the AMD driver control panel.
