Is YouTube ad blocking in mid 2020 something Brave claims it can block? If so, that would be incredible.

If you are facing the issue, then you no need to look more. Simply watch the below video
If you repeatedly reload this live steam with chat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfKfPfyJRdk you will get ads. This is whether Brave is set to aggressive for ads or not. If I enable UBlock Origin extension the ads never show up.

Clear cookies and cache, then reload the youtube website with shields up.
No difference. Close YT tab. Cleared Cache and Cookies. Loaded that stream up and doing a reload caused multiple ads to show up

The https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfKfPfyJRdk stream also still exhibits a 7 month old issue where the Live chat will not always load with the video but rather sees a 20 second delay. Reported that here back in Sept 2022 as well on Github. Others have reported same issue. I have seen that chat issue on multiple fresh installs of Windows and Brave (w no extensions)
This is happening in a clean profile with no extensions. YT account is not logged into and I get localized ads as well as general ads.
May or may not help help, in some instances I saw a small delay, others it was fine. I feel its more YT end, but who knows. The above change will roll out in the next 24/48hrs.

If it was YouTube it should be across all browsers. Why is Firefox< Chrome and Vivaldi having no such issue? You can reload that same stream over and over again and there is no 20 second delay in the chat populating.
Will this fix solve the issue I am seeing in Brave Beta and that stream where ads are not being blocked?

I even tried a Private Mode window in Brave Beta and the ads sailed through before the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfKfPfyJRdk video like there was nothing blocking the ads at all.
Update
I nuked Brave Beta from orbit here, Deleted the User Folder on Windows 10 and did a complete reinstall of Brave beta. The adblocking in Brave is now working on YT. The 20 second delay in loading YT live chat is still there.
