But I have 100 BAT in my wallet, and the auto-payment is just set to 20 BAT. This has happened to me several times, now (over the span of several months). Had this same problem fixed once before (some server-side intervention on my wallet), but it’s come back.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
just wait until auto-contribute date, and check the Rewards screen
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Expected result:
Reproduces how often:
more months than not, it seems

I have the exact same problem. I have 20 times as many tokens in my wallet as the amount set to contribute every month, but I am still told that I have insufficient funds. This is happening on 3 different computers in which I have installed Brave, configured to use the same wallet. This has been going on for months. I was hoping an update would fix it, but no such luck.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Configure Brave to use my wallet, then wait 1 month for the notification to appear. It has happened exactly like this on 3 computers.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Expected result:
Reproduces how often:
Every month, since the update to the new version of Brave, this happens, on all 3 PCs I tried it with.

I have had this problem several times including just now with the latest update.
I also noticed another problem that may be related, I have just used the auto contribute and never tipped but somehow Brave thinks I am trying to donate over a billion bat.
See message from Brave below:
You’ve designated 1288490233.6 BAT for creators who haven’t yet signed up to receive contributions. Your browser will keep trying to contribute until they verify, or until 90 days have passed.
Used notbilly’s post as the template for my own report – all the information below is mine.
Thanks,
Doug

But I have 140 BAT in my wallet, and the auto-payment is just set to 30 BAT. This has happened to me several times, now (over the span of several months).

I’d just like to have it fixed and working, to be able to make automatic contributions. Especially since the Brave wallet is unidirectional, I can’t do anything else with that balance, as far as I know.

I’m not sure what happened but just applied the latest update (stable channel) and suddenly was notified my auto-contribute couldn’t be processed due to insufficient funds when there are plenty present to fund it when I check the brave://rewards page. At the same time I noted all site history there was gone though it listed a count of excluded sites (restoring them all didn’t show anything still). So it still had some info about things I had excluded although difficult to be sure since there is no way to see the excluded sites names though that appears to be the current design. But all the sites with percentages of how much I’d been on them were gone.

I got the same message again today (3 days before the scheduled auto-contribution).
I’ll continue to use Brave b/c I like the ad and tracker blocking, but I surely will not be putting any actual money into the wallet. But I hope you can work it out!
Well, I didn’t received monthly contribution this month, another glitch @Asad@chriscat ? I was looking for some common ground but I didn’t find any reference to my problem, so I guess it happened only with my account. About the monthly contribution to my wallet, 45 BAT each month, which it was supposed to be credited by March 19, it wasn’t. And today the date of the next contribution just changed to April 14th. So, I think my account was missed. Could anyone please explain why, since last month everything worked properly?
I have this problem also. It’s been going on for the last couple months. I have more than enough BAT but it says insufficient funds. I have not seen a solution or workaround.
Hey there
I have exactly the same problem and have had it since I started using Brave, so about 4 months.
Seems no-one has an answer, do the Devs read these forums?
I kind of suspect that it has to do with the fact that most (if not all) of my auto-contribute sites are not verified and cannot be paid immediately, so maybe the process just balks when it comes time for the payout.
I’ve shifted my mindset to use the auto-contribute feature just for tracking and expect it to fail at payout, and then once a month I’ll manually tip a few verified sites that I know I’ve visited (maybe on my phone, or sometime in the past). I at least want to put my grant tokens to use and support some site’s whose ads I’ve blocked.
I am also experiencing this issue, and have for the past three payment rounds. Tips work fine. About 10% of my contributions are going towards verified publishers. I can paste more information but it seems that there is already plenty to go on.
