WSJ.com will not display correctly if Shields with script blocking is enabled


Description of the issue:

When I navigate to wsj.com with shields up it won’t load correctly unless I disable script blocking. But when I disable script blocking it will show ads.

@jtsillas First off, script blocking will break majority of sites because this will prevent most videos and images, which run as scripts. Not to mention things like Java and all. So the report on this makes sense. You want to avoid Block Scripts typically, only enabling on sites as necessary

You should try to check out the filters. Sounds like you’re using just the default. If you to go SettingsBrave ShieldsContent Filtering you’ll see a lot of thing you can enable. Try the following:

  • Fanboy Annoyance’s List

  • uBlock Annoyances List

  • Bypass Paywalls Clean Filters
