Word or Excel Hyperlink Error

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Unable to open Hyperlinks from/within Word or Excel documents
  2. Receive this error message - “This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system”
    administrator.
  3. Have tried these fixes - File type associations are unreliable in Windows (but did not work)

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.29.79 Chromium: 93.0.4577.63 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: - Using Windows 10 Home - 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

If you set your default browser to another browser, do you get the same error?

Reset Default Browser to Firefox - same result.

This sounds more like a MS Office issue, but I could be wrong.

I would take a look at method 1 here.
