Issue with Opening Hyperlinks in Outlook with Default Brave Browser

Description of the issue:
Having Brave as my default browser, whenever I try to open a hyperlink in Microsoft Outlook (latest version) by clicking on it, I am given the following error:


Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Have Windows 10 and Microsoft Outlook installed.
  2. Have Brave set to your default browser.
  3. Open Outlook.
  4. Click on a hyperlink in an email you have received.

Expected result:
Open hyperlink in Brave.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10 Home; Brave Version 0.67.123

NOTE: Whenever I set my default browser to Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Edge, there is no error.

Testing on my end using the Outlook app (Win10) – hyperlinks seem to open in Brave without issue. This is with a fresh install of Brave and (unintentionally) a fresh PC (just formatted).

Can you tell me if you’ve ever used/installed the old Brave build (Muon) on this machine you’re using? If so, you may need to completely uninstall and remove any/all lingering Muon files.

Yes, I used Muon previously on my desktop. I followed your steps and managed to get the hyperlinks working! Thanks for your help!
