*I’ve had Brave from the beginning. One of the things I appreciated was the ability to choose which search engine I wanted. Now, I can’t move Google off my browser.
I can’t switch it to another search engine, and its only option is to activate Google. I knew this would happen eventually, and it’s really a pain to have my choices taken away.
I don’t want google. I’ve never wanted Google. Unless there’s a way to get rid of this, I’m going to have to dump Brave.

There are 6-7 default search engines in brave browser including brave search.
Go into browser settings brave://search and change your search engine.
Make sure you do not have any malicious extensions affecting you search experience.
