Why does Brave treat Linux users so badly?

I note the lack of hardware video acceleration, battery saver and text to speech just to name a few important features that are left out of the Linux version of Brave. I’m sure there are many more crippled features, but for some reason the folk at Brave like to keep the shameful state of Brave on Linux secret.

Conversely, when it comes to features designed to extract money from Linux users, everything seems to be on par with the Windows and Mac versions.

Since Brave for Linux is really a heavily cut down and severely crippled half-version, perhaps it would be nice if you labelled it something Brave Lite or Brave Crap Edition, so that people don’t waste their time looking for the features Brave secretly turn off for Linux users.

Can we at least get a comprehensive list of the features that are denied to Linux users and an explanation why we are not important enough to receive the same browser as Mac/Windows users. (Bearing in mind that if I switch browsers on Linux, I will be changing the browser on my phone, TV and three other Windows computers as well, and I’m sure plenty of other Linux users are in the same boat).

Thanks in advance.
