Why do I have to confirm being human? [Brave Search Robot Cop]

My Brave search engine suddenly is requiring that I verify: “Confirm you’re a human being
This will only take a few seconds.
I’m not a robot”
How do I remove it?

Actually, that might result from a “too many requests” issue - a networking problem. Sometimes, could be a DNS issue.

Sometimes, simply reloading the website, resolves the issue.

BTW, your issue, is also an old issue here:

Same here. It seems random and started only a few months ago (after years of Brave being my default browser). No, I’m not on a VPN nor ever have been. No, I’m not clearing my cache/cookies because lose some of the convenience for other sites I frequent. How do I make it stop asking… at least more than once in a blue moon?

Never encountered the problem before, but today, IF I use Brave Search Engine Operator:

  • NOT . . . (for example:)

THEN I get:

The “I’m not a robot” function does not work - the webpage returns to the same window.

The “Switch to traditional captcha” does not work.

Occurs for BB New Window and BB New Private Window. And, both Brave Search Settings disabled:

  • Answer with AI
  • Discussions

BB for MacOS:

  • version 1.41.100 (mid-2010 MacBook Pro)
  • version 1.69.168 (2013 MacBook Pro)

IF I remove the Brave Search Engine Operator, THEN there is no “I’m not a robot” check.

Several encounters with the Brave Search Cloudflare Robot Cops.

Several of those encounters, while using iPhone 14 (iOS 17.7.2, Brave Browser version 1.74 (49)).

Plus 1 encounter while using MacBook Pro (MacOS 10.12.6 Sierra, Brave Browser version 1.41.100).

Using NordVPN in both cases.

Screenshot of typical message - the use of which (clicking the box: “Verify you are human”) never works . . . rather, the same window shows again and again

Unable to use Brave Search.

Also a strange problem with BB on the iPhone. The following message:

despite the fact, that javascript for each site:
