Why are all previously saved passwords gone after computer(MAC) restart?

Whenever I shut down my Macbook and start it again, lll passwords are gone and have to be re-inserted.

Used to not be the case

First thing to check here is whether or not you have any data (namely passwords) set to be cleared “on exit” in Settings --> History --> Clear browsing data --> [On exit].

If you do not, I’d like to know:

  • What version of Brave you’re using at this time?
  • If you have any extensions installed in the browser at this time?
  • Do you have any system/file cleaning software (such as ccleaener) installed on your system at this time?

Did Brave ask you to provide a password when it launched?

Ha, I believe THAT was it.
Undid the tick of password-deletion upon shutdown.
