When maximized, brave does not respect screen bounds

Workaround:

  • Tested on Operating System(s): debian 9/10 and mx linux 19+
  • XFCE v4.14

TL;DR:

  • I was able to fix the issue by toggling the ‘brave://settings/appearance’->theme from “Classic” to “GTK+” (also works visa versa).
  • If I resize the window in any way I have to repeat the process of toggling the ‘theme’

Notes:

  • Seems to work regardless of configuration of ‘brave://settings/appearance’->“Use system title bar and borders”
  • There seems to be an additional bug that removes a downloaded theme from chrome store if you pick either ‘Classic’ or ‘GTK+’
  • I apologize of there is a better place to have posted this information
  • This seems to be somewhat of a duplicate of Browser out of screen in Debian

Best regards / Hope this helps

I’m experiencing the issue with a multi monitor setup on Ubuntu 21.10.

What version of Brave, and are you using Xfce?

I’m using Gnome. It’s not related to Xfce.
Version 1.32.106 Chromium: 96.0.4664.45 (Official Build) (64-bit)

OK. Where’d you install from, the OS repo or the Brave repo (or someplace else)?

And before going further, can you update Brave to 1.32.113 and see if the issue is still there?

So I held off applying Brave Browser updates until this weekend. Now the problem originally reported has vanished with the latest updates to Xubuntu 20.04 and Brave Browser version [
