A circle appeared over my brave icon on my windows toolbar suddenly a couple days ago:
No, this is not my profile icon:
My browser is up to date. I see no errors/warnings/notifications on any of my extensions. I haven’t installed any new extensions in at least a month.
What is this? How do I get rid of it?

That just looks to be your profile Icon - please see this similar thread:
So I believe the reason that your profile icons are different is that that cat icon was part of the previously available icons, but since this update https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/6443 they have been changed to solid color icons. So since the cat icon is gone, Brave is just showing a yellow circle. If you change the icon to one of the solid colour icons the yellow circle should change to match.
I see. That’s a bummer, I liked the one I had. But that fixed it, thank you.
