When I use Brave I get a dimmed screen whenever I search for anything, reducing all webpages to about 20% brightness while leaving Brave’s UI, the browser homepage, any sidebars, and any Brave sites like the settings page at full brightness. This doesn’t happen in private browsing mode and I haven’t been able to find any settings to disable a brightness dimming option. I’ve also ensured none of my extensions are causing the issue, cleared by browser cache, and uninstalled and reinstalled the browser. I’m on version 1.75.180.

That’s a very strange issue.
Would it be possible for you to share a screenshot of what it looks like with the webpage dimmed? Additionally, while I see that you say you’ve ruled out your extensions, can you tell me which ones you’re using at this time?

Sure, I attached a few screenshots of the browser appearing normal on both the homepage and settings and then appearing dimmed when I looked something up. My extensions are ‘Dark Mode’ (inverts color sceme of sites), ‘Dark mode for Google docs’ (does the same thing since the other extension doesn’t work for Docs), ‘Shazam’, ‘Stream Cleaner’ (Twitch adblocker), ‘uBlock Origin’, and ‘Volume Master’.
