If you want help, you should provide a lot more details. Examples:

  • Which version of Brave are you using? (exact version, don’t just say “the latest”)

  • Which version of Windows?

  • What happens when you say the video doesn’t play? Such as are there any error messages? Does the box not load? Give as much detail as possible.

  • Does disabling Shields make a difference?

  • Do you have extensions? Have you tried disabling them?

  • Does it work in private window?

  • If you create a new browser profile, does it work?

  • Are you using VPN or proxy? If so, does disabling it change anything?

Hi Saoiray,

The details I’m on windows 11, Brave version v 1.60.118. There are no messages. I see a picture of the video. Just no way to start it. It does play on edge.
Disabling shields has no effect. Disabling extensions no effect. It doesn’t work in a private window. I have no vpn. No idea what proxy is.

Saoiray. Tried again, now I get this message:
There was an issue with accessing the network for media playback. The sub-error code will contain what specific resource was unable to be accessed over the network. | NETWORK_ERROR encountered, code: 1400. Not a single video on CNN works.

Problem solved Saoiray. After a search on internet I removed the AdBlock extension.
