Vertical tabs are broken on latest update

Description of the issue:
After the update to the latest version of Brave, vertical tabs do not show on the fullscreen on Mac. I’ve confirmed this with 2 Macs.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Have vertical tabs enabled; test it on the older versions; it works
  2. Update Brave to latest
  3. Go fullscreen

Expected result: Vertical tabs must be visible when enabled.

Brave Version( check About Brave): v1.58.127 (Sep 16, 2023)

I can confirm this bug is a thing. I’m on Mac as well and when I go fullscreen the vertical pane for tabs disappears.

I can confirm this. No choice but to go back to horizontal tabs.

I’m having the same issue.

Brave version: Version 1.58.127 Chromium: 117.0.5938.88 (Official Build) (arm64)
MacOS: Sonoma 14.0

FYI, in the GH issue tracker there is an explanation of the issue and it looks like someone is already working on a fix.
