Vertical Tab Scrolling Broken on Brave Browser

Hi all,

I cannot scroll Brave’s vertical tabs it stuck somewhere and cannot see active tab or newly opened tabs. The image below shows my opened tabs with tab groups but you cannot see tab groups which are on the top of the tabs. I cannot scroll up or sometimes down.

Disabled extensions one by one what did not helped.

Version 1.75.175 Chromium: 133.0.6943.54 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Fedora 41 KDE

Moreover I ain’t go back to the horizontal tabs, whenever try to disable vertical tabs the browser crashes. If I cannot find a solution then I have to ditch Brave because I can’t work on it due to this annoying bug.

I only able to see tab groups via bookmark Tab Groups button but LMAO my tabs turned to empty New Tabs and I lost all workings. And ridiculously still cannot scroll up or down.

Please team report this on Github, this may harm many users in the future.

Np,

I have removed Grouped Tabs and reinstalled Brave. At the moment no issue for the vertical scrolling but not sure if that will happen when I group tabs again. Something breaks but could not find what it is. My guess is about tab grouping.

Thanks @holygates, the team is aware of performance issues for vertical tabs and is working on a fix.

Similar issues on vertical tabs, on clicking on vertical tab button, browser goes not responding.
