As I found out that disabling ‘Answer with AI’ (i.e. the clever random word generator) in Brave search still shows the Leo button, I have found that it is possible to use uBlockOrigin to block such unwanted clutter from Brave search engine - IF you’re inclined to use a search engine with a conflict of interest with your browser. I use DuckDuckGo as it is not connected to the web client I am using.
IMHO web client developers should NOT be creating web services, it is a conflict of interest. Like with Google and Microsoft. If you have stakes in the content, you can’t also create the browser.
Brave should stick to being the best web client it can be, before it becomes more of a frustration or bind to use.
I would like a browser that doesn’t try to be everything else as well, there’s too much feature creep nowadays, projects are not focused enough on their niche and being the best they can. Please stop trying to influence people by adding clutter/bloat/unneeded features for the starry-eyed, easily confused masses.
