Update to browser

I received a message today that my browser could not be automatically updated so I was advised to download the browser and reinstall it. I did that, but now when I click on the Brave icon I just get redirected to the download page. I’ve done that three times with identical results. In frustration, I thought I would delete the Brave app and reinstall it. I find that I am unable to delete the app. So, as a result, I now have the Brave browser that I can’t use nor can I take it off my machine. I’d appreciate any advice that you all can provide to me.

Can you please provide some additional information surrounding your issue? What Operating system are you using? Did you download Brave from the official website?
