Unable to turn on Twitter browser push notifications

Posting two older topics that are related. Also posting a solution from the related Brave GitHub issue report that is still open and from one of the older topics. Many of the topics posted in the past reporting this issue were closed without a response.

Have you checked the system notification setting for Brave app?

Thought I add my two cents here after fixing my Brave notification issue.

I also had not been getting any desktop notifications and tried everything Brave related to fix it without success.

After reading this thread and this reply I decided to check my Windows 10 settings and it is now fixed. Nothing I’d read before prompted me to think it was a Windows setting.

Windows → Settings → System → Notifications & Actions → Turn on “Get Notifications from apps and other senders”.

[Update] The solution for having Brave back in the notification list in win 10 Settings is NOT to delete the Brave shortcut in the start menu → programs. It’s a bug which affects every chromium based browser btw. P.S. Twitter still doesn’t push notify if you don’t have the page opened. It seems like it’s getting into some kind of suspended mode after a while. It’s weird.

Push notifications stop being pushed after a while

No, the permissions don’t get reset. Nothing gets cleared on exit. It goes like this: I start my PC → Brave starts in the tray(I use extension for that) → no push notifications pop up from the site X. Nothing! Then I go to the site X and THEN they all start to pop up! As if visiting the site wakes up the browser to it’s normal functionality. Then all is fine until next PC reboot (or manually force-closing the browser). Rinse and repeat. Even if I set Brave to start with windows (shell:startup…
