Description of the issue:
I’m having the exact same issue documented here back in 2019: Not working Google extension for Office (Editing for Docs, Sheets & Slides)
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
With Brave open, drag an excel file to the browser.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Just a blank window is opened with no error message
Expected result:
The spreadsheet opens using the office Google Office Editing for Docs, Sheets & Slides extension and I’m able to work with it as an excel doc or convert it to a Google sheet.
Reproduces how often:
100% of the time with any Excel spreadsheet.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Windows 10 and Brave Version 1.59.117
Also, using the official Google extension called Office Editing for Docs, Sheets and Slides

Things I’ve Tried
I cleared all browser/cache data.
I launched In-Private mode, enabled the extension and got the same result.
I’ve completely uninstalled and reinstalled Brave.
I logged in and joined the sync chain on another computer and got the same result.
I have chrome and edge installed on my main computer and they can both open the Xls file and convert to Google Sheet
If I open the file from an email attachment, I get the same result as described in the Actual Result, above.
On another computer that I don’t normaly use, I installed brave, did not join the sync chain, and got the same result as described in the Actual Result above.
Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a different extension I should be using instead?
