Description of the issue:
In one of my profiles it’s impossible to delete sites in the modified cookie settings. It’s google and firebaseapp.com , which I believe is google-related. It’s only possible to move the sites between the three categories, the delete function doesn’t work.
Expected result:
To click on delete and that the site then dissapears.
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Version 1.36.122 Chromium: 99.0.4844.88 (Official Build) (64-bits)
Additional Information:
None
+1
Clicking the delete icon does not remove the intended site from the ‘Sites that can always use cookies’ list (found on brave://settings/cookies)
Brave version:
[Version 1.37.109 Chromium: 100.0.4896.60 (Official Build) (x86_64)]
This a known issue. There are a couple of Brave GitHub issues open but they are low priority and haven’t had any movement for a while.
Try this workaround to remove the site(s):
Hi @utts ,
If you revisit the site that has cookies allowed and enable the shields for the site, it should remove it from the list.
More info and a screen recording of actions:
Even if the website doesn’t load you can still toggle the Shields at the top right of the address bar
@utts ,
Apologies for not being explicit enough. We recognise that not being able to remove the site from the list (while in the settings) is an issue, and we’re handling it.
But for the time being, to help illustrate what I was saying earlier, here’s a GIF of me adding and removing the site.
