A Workaround The Issue "Cannot delete sites from Sites that can always use cookies"

First, you can find this feature in Settings - Additional Settings - Privacy And Security - Cookies and other site data. Check The last part of this post for the workaround.

Description:
Sites cannot be deleted from " Sites that can always use cookies" list. They can be only added.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Add a site to “Sites that can always use cookies”.
  2. Try to click the “garbage” icon to delete a site.
  3. Nothing will happen.

Actual result:
Nothing occurs and the site remains.

Expected result:
The site should be deleted.

Reproduces how often:
Consistent.

Brave version:
Version 1.26.77 Chromium: 91.0.4472.164 (Official Build) (64-bit)

The Workaround:
Go to the website that you cannot delete (which in your case and mine all the websites) and activate the Brave Shield. The website will magically disappear from Sites that can always use cookies.

Privacy and security > Clear browsing data > ____

(“brave://settings/clearBrowserData”)

There are 3 categories:

  • Basic

  • Advanced

  • On exit

In which, you can specifically clear “Cookies and other site data”

Or at least, it appears that you can.

Clearing Cookies and other site data doesn’t empty the list of websites that can always use cookies.

OP is referring to a known Brave bug:
