"Uh oh! The Brave Rewards server is not responding. We will fix this as soon as possible." with Brave 0.65.118 - How to fix without losing all my BAT?

I haven’t updated my Brave browser, or checked my BAT, in quite some time. I’m on Brave version 0.65.118, and it seems like we’re on 1.18.75.

How do I preserve my BAT such that they won’t be wiped? I’m having trouble connecting to the Brave browser, and I’m wondering if it’s because 0.65.118 isn’t supported? If so, how do I keep my BAT, or make sure that when I update (which would presumably fix the error?) I don’t lose all my BAT? Thank you!

When I try to “Update Brave” in browser, I get Update failed (error: 10) - An error occurred while downloading the update. Please try again later.

  • Copy/paste your Wallet ID (found on brave://rewards-internals)
  • Your OS and Brave version (first three lines in brave://version)
  • A screenshot of your Rewards panel in Settings --> Brave Rewards.
