I use Brave on Linuxmint 19.3 cinnamon
I have this video error in some
it is not with all youtube videos
If I disable hardware acceleration, the problem disappears
Will I have to install something additional to correct the error?
thanks for your help
greetings from Buenos Aires
GPU performance will depend on drivers being used, which GPU are you using in Linux?
Device-1: Intel Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics
vendor: Lenovo ThinkPad X240 driver: i915 v: kernel bus ID: 00:02.0
Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.19.6 driver: modesetting unloaded: fbdev,vesa
OpenGL: renderer: Mesa DRI Intel HD Graphics 4400 (HSW GT2)
v: 4.5 Mesa 20.0.8 direct render: Yes
What is the performance like in Chrome vs Brave? Integrated Graphics may struggle with some video playback (which is why offloading the GPU usage to the CPU may help). Does limiting playback to 720p does it help?
I tried it recently in firefox and it works without error
what intrigues me is that it is only with some youtube videos
not at all
outside of this the browser works perfect
I am using it as my main browser
If you try the following extenstion, does it help?
I tried it recently and it is the same, it does not improve
I’m going to porbar with chromium to see how it looks
En firefox, se ve sin las rayas
en chromium esta como en brave con las rayas
What are those RGB lines in the Chrome screenshot?
it is the same error i have in brave browser
something else that maybe could be useful
just install chrome browser and the video works fine, without the lines
Offtopic today I will dream of airplanes hehe, update the graphics of your Ubuntu with Some of these codes can help you
libcanberra-gtk-module curl libxss1 libnss3 libnss3
xserver-xorg-video-intel libgl1-mesa-dri libglapi-mesa
select the one that best serves you.
by default I have those same installed
