**Description of the issue: ** Bought new computer and installed Brave on it, ads and trackers are reset completely.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install a new browser of Brave on your Windows computer.
  2. Sign in, Sync your settings

Expected result: The ads and trackers blocked number should be the same as on your old Brave Browser.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Additional Information:

I used Brave as my primary browser on my old Windows laptop, but am switching to a new Windows laptop and all my ad and tracker stats on the new tab page are now reset. Is there any way to move these stats over as well, by moving a file or anything? What about browser history? It doesn’t seem to sync when I hit the sync button on the old computer’s browser.

When I first started using Brave I signed up for Sync in settings ( brave://settings/braveSync/setup ) the same way in each of my different platforms and that was the wrong way to do it.

It’s a LITTLE more complicated than it looks but for any new devices you’ve signed up for I’d suggest removing the sync option there and then start the sync connection from your most used/original brave app location and follow the steps in this link:

Hope this helps and sorry if you knew all this, I just know Brave Sync confused me at first so I thought that might be your case too.

Hi, I appreciate the directions, but this doesn’t resolve the issue. Do you know if there’s anything else I can do? This thread directed someone on how to do it on MacOS, but both of my laptops are Windows, so if there is a similar process but using a different file name that you are aware of, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I found this old thread/post, though be sure to make note of the update
