@tabs, @bookmarks, and @history shortcuts can no longer be modified?

[Apologies for the spaces after the @ signs—it thinks I am tagging users, I’m limited in tagging because I’m new, and I haven’t found a way to escape the @ sign.]

Description of the issue: Since sometime recently, my altered shortcuts for @ tabs (which I set to “t”) has reverted to defaults and can no longer been modified. The same appears to be true for @ bookmarks and @ history.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to Brave settings.
  2. Click Search Engines on the left.
  3. Click “Manage search engines…” at the bottom.
  4. Under “Site search,” click Additional sites (if you have enough of them).
  5. Note that @ tabs is the shortcut for tabs and the lines for @ tabs, @ bookmarks, and @ history do not have the pencil “edit” icon.

Expected result: Historically, those had the edit icon and I could change them to a more convenient shortcut.

Brave Version (check About Brave): Version 1.66.110 Chromium: 125.0.6422.60 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information: This appears to have changed recently. I can’t find it in the release notes or through web searches, but maybe I missed it. For what it’s worth, I no longer use this feature because it’s faster to just type the search and then tab to the "jump to the “Switch to this tab” option than to use the shortcut now. Thanks for any help!

Bumping. Is this a deliberate change or a bug? Anyone else notice this? (It is still true after an update or two.) Thanks!
