Tab muting not working

Description of the issue: When sound is playing in a particular tab, you should be able to press on the speaker icon to toggle mute the tab. When I click on it, it doesn’t mute. Only the right click mute tab / mute site options work.

How can this issue be reproduced? I’m not entirely sure, as I’m not doing anything that involves a series of steps?

Expected result: That the tab mutes or unmutes

Brave Version( check About Brave): Version 1.67.134 Chromium: 126.0.6478.186 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 11 10.0.22621 Build 22621

Additional Information:
I also use Brave on my Mac devices, and it works as expected there.

I did ensure brave://flags/#enable-tab-audio-muting is Enabled.

@proevilz did you check your settings to make sure you have it enabled?

I’m speaking of brave://settings/appearance where there’s a toggle for it:

If it’s on, as in my screenshot, then things would go as you mentioned.
