Description of the issue:
Brave sync tool keep resetting the Sync Chan Code while trying to sync between two Brave desktop and or android Cell Phone.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
In Current Brave install I display the Sync Code
In the Beta version (same desktop) I go to Setup / Sync / “I have a Sync Code”
Then I copy/paste the Current Brave sync code into the Beta text box.
I get the message Sync Started for a brief moment.
The Sync does not happen
It also happened once that after restarting Brave Beta the sync code was suddenly changed for a different one than the previously pasted . But that behavior I could not repeat.
Still no sync take place.
The same procedure was tried between my desktop and my Android cell phone with no success.
Sync does not work.

First I wanted to implement the Sync function between my Android Cell Phone and my Desktop.
The simple procedure is to display the QR code on desktop display and use it to sync on cell phone.
That didn’t work. Then I search the web for possible solution. After some reading I decided to install Brave Beta on top of Brave current version on the same Desktop.
The goal was to test the Sync feature between desktop. An attempt to find a solution.
Current Brave version has all my bookmarks, Beta version newly installed has no bookmark. I figured if I get the Sync working between these two install I’ll be going forward.
My Questions:
- Seeing (from the web) that there seems to be a recurrent problem with Brave Sync function, Is there an approximate timeline that the development team expect Sync to be functional ?
- Is there a way to manually change a Sync Code such that one can reset the sync function anew?
