Description of the issue:

Hello there I am using brave on manjaro xfce version
earlier I used to use it in kde and used to work fine sync and everything but recently I switched to XFCE and now sync is not working

whenever I try to modify sync settings I get these errors in terminal

and my sync looks like this even after adding the sync code

[4735:4735:1208/073538.223865:ERROR:CONSOLE(585)] “Uncaught Error: Assertion failed”, source: chrome://settings/shared.rollup.js (585)

[4735:4735:1208/073544.126051:ERROR:CONSOLE(585)] “Uncaught Error: Assertion failed”, source: chrome://settings/shared.rollup.js (585)

Reproduces how often:

Additional Information:

OS Release

LSB Version: n/a
Distributor ID: ManjaroLinux
Description: Manjaro Linux
Release: 21.2.0
Codename: Qonos

Current version of Brave is 1.32.113 (although I think another release is imminent), are you able to upgrade it before going further?

If you click ‘View Sync Code,’ what happens? If it shows the sync code please do not paste it here, I just want to know if that works.

How do you log into your system – do you use any type of autologin (no password), or biometric/fingerprint, PIN, etc.? Or just typical password unlock?

Interesting I installed through paru AUR helper

and something happened I thought reinstall might fix it

so what I did is

paru -R brave-browser
and
paru -S brave

and sync is working fine now
