Sync code not accepted - stating to update browser on source device - but - both brave browsers same version / no update available

Hi, as mentioned in subject:

No matter what I do, sync will not accept sync chain.
Also tried to use QR code but there is no option to use QR code on mobile device

Please help / remedy asap / provide method to use user name & password instead
