I have spent an hour searching sites for advice on how to remove all Brave files. Using the Windows 11 Control Panel uninstall removes the appearance of the app but no matter what browser I switch to the Brave search engine automatically replaces Google.
Have you tried reinstalling Brave and then uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller Pro? RUPro does a good job of removing everything.
If you install a program using RUPro it creates a log file that makes uninstalling everything about the program even easier. I recommend doing that only for programs that you aren’t going to be updating, since the log captures the program as initially installed, and not updates, so far as I can tell.
That shouldn’t happen unless you toggled Brave Search as your default search on those browsers. Have you not gone to whichever browser you’re using now, go to their default search option, and then just switch to Google?
I mean, it’s not going to be anywhere else on your computer…
